Yes my peeps, today is my 40th birthday!!! Not a clue what we will be doing to celebrate but whatever it is I'm sure it'll be tons of fun! In honor of this major milestone in my life today's post is
40 Random Things!
1. My favorite color has always been blue
2. I love COACH purses!
3. I have at least a touch of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)! I detest clutter and am happiest when everything is in it's place
4. I love dogs...big ones, little ones, every shape size and color
5. I do not eat "ugly" food! Chicken wings and brussle sprouts are a total NO!
6. One of my favorite things is buying gifts for people. It doesn't even have to be a holiday. If I am out and about and see something that reminds me of someone, I'll get it and mail it to them with a card
7. Not a dancer - trust me on that!
8. My camera is always in my purse cause I love to take pictures
9. When driving, my cell is always in my pocket. Some freaky fear about running out of the road and not being able to reach it
10. I am a list maker
11. I make an effort to remember birthdays of friends and family with cards. A birthday is the only day of the year that is all about you and it should be celebrated!
12. I believe my "gift" is being an encourager! I am your personal cheerleader, thumbs up girl, you can do it yes you can! Alway think positive and give thanks!
13. I hate the SyFy channel
14. I am a huge Marilyn Monroe fan! She is the reason I wear red lipstick (Merle Norman's REDHOT is my favorite)
15. I sing, when I'm alone in the car, like I am a rock star! It's not pretty I promise but it is a super stress reliever!
16. Abby sleeps in the middle of our king sized bed, and John loves her as much as I do
17. I love black cows, but only black
18. Autumn is my favorite season
19. My high school was in a 2 red light southern town and it was awesome
20. I rarely ever wear a necklace
21. I hate turtlenecks too!
22. I love NCIS
23. I am a Criminal Minds addict
24. My three favorite hobbies are reading, cross-stitching, and gardening
25. I had the good fortune to meet, work with, and become friends with two witches
26. I've had 11 new cars since I left home
27. I left home at 17
28. I've had 26 addresses in 6 states since I was born in Detroit, Michigan
29. Houses that lack color inside are strange to me
30. I wore braces as an adult
31. I'm not a big sports fan
32. I collect blown glass Christmas ornaments
33. I love buying books off Amazon
34. Call me tree hugger...I recycle everything
35. My love of houseplants and gardening came from my granny Stephens
36. I'm the only girl in my family and have 3 younger brothers
37. I LOVE pasta! shout out for Tsipiora's spaghetti sauce...I will never forget it
38. When I wake up in the middle of the night and have someone on my mind, I pray for them and whatever their need might be and go back to sleep
39. I have had every hair color at least once! heehee even Snow Whites black, but not on purpose
40. Birthday cake is my very favorite food group!
